In Chakama village, CHEPs established a library with full support from Pocket Libraries, including books, shelving, and consultancy, provided entirely at no cost.
By the end of 2025, the Chakama Library had grown to nearly 100 regular daily readers. Demand increased to the point that the programme expanded from a single small space to a larger facility, and then into two separate spaces, supported by full-time teachers.
Pocket Libraries still regularly collects and sends books to Chakama - on average 50 books every 2 months.
