Come cover books with us to fill some empty shelves!

We’re opening a community library in Kibera called Hazina House - a free space for kids, youth, and young women to read, learn, and just be.

Before the doors open, we’ve got one very important job:

Getting hundreds of books ready for their next life.

Event Details

  • Where: Pocket Libraries at Jafferys Sports Club - near the playground (Lavington - off James Gichuru)

  • When: Sunday, 19th April, from 11am

We’ll be covering books so they last longer, adding labels, and getting them ready for the shelves.

What to expect

  • Sitting around with a stack of books

  • Tape, covers, a bit of trial and error

  • Conversations, mild chaos & lots of laughs

  • Watching a pile of books slowly become a library

What to bring

  • Scissors

  • Tape

  • (If you have extra book covers, even better)

We’ll have supplies too, but more is always better.

Drop your details below, just so we know who and how many to expect!

Come hang, help out, and be part of building something real.
